Web 2.0 Application Developer
Our business relies on continual development of both front- and back-end components for web-based applications. As a Web 2.0 Developer, you will help us build, test, and enhance high-traffic web sites, as well as designing robust internal reporting tools and interfaces. You will have end-to-end ownership of critical projects, from concept to production, so an ability to communicate effectively, identify challenges before they become problems, and manage to deadlines is essential.

Requirements:

Significant professional experience with the following technologies, programs, and development environments:
- DHTML (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- AJAX
- Ruby on Rails
- Relational databases (preferably MySQL)
- Strong experience in user interface design and testing
- An ability to work effectively and independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment in which priorities can change frequently
- BS or BA degree
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Proven expertise in graphic design with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop or similar design software
- Knowledge of web site development and design best practices recommended by tier-1 search engines (Google, Yahoo, MSN, Ask)
- Familiarity with Apache configuration and administration and UNIX administration
