Client 1: Investment research company
Campaign Goal: The client's goal was to increase online registrations for its investment research subscriptions. Specifically, the client asked Adverplex to double the number of daily registrations they were achieving from their non-core keyword portfolio.
Strategy: The client turned to Adverplex to help them increase the ROI of their search engine marketing campaign, which they had been managing in-house. Adverplex began to manage the majority of their campaign terms and expand their keyword list, while the client retained a core group of branded terms to manage.
Adverplex also worked with the client to refine and test various campaign landing pages to increase conversions. Pages were developed that presented stock and mutual fund-specific content for corresponding keywords, to improve relevancy.
Active testing of highly targeted ad creative and expansion to a content network were other strategies utilized to optimize campaign performance.
Results:
- Exceeded client's goal of doubling daily online registrations from non-core keywords by second month of campaign.
- Added more than 25,000 new keywords.
- Achieved overall campaign profitability.
Client 2: Consumer new car price quote service
Campaign Goal: Our client's goal was to establish themselves in the competitive automotive lead generation marketplace through a large-scale paid search campaign. Research has shown that new car buyers spend an average of six hours online doing research before they visit a dealership. With auto manufacturers and established consumer auto research sites competing for car buyers' attention, it would require sophisticated paid search strategies to achieve favorable ad placement in search results at a reasonable cost.
Strategy: Since this was a brand new client with no prior SEM results to draw upon, Adverplex built the campaign gradually, applying best practice strategies in a controlled manner. Bid optimization, keyword expansion, and development of highly-targeted ad text have been major components of the campaign's success.
Beyond the major search engines, Adverplex also developed distinct approaches for bidding and creatives for content networks, which have been very successful for the client.
Results: During the first year of the campaign, Adverplex:
- Expanded keywords from 45,000 to more than 500,000 during first six months.
- Increased monthly search advertising revenues 27.5x in first six months.
- Increased monthly search advertising revenues 181% in second half of year.
- Increased total monthly leads 33% during second half of year.
